At work

As an Associate Financial Planner, Brody works closely with our advisers to support the delivery of high quality, holistic financial advice. With a strong focus on paraplanning, he plays a key role in developing tailored strategies and translating technical detail into clear, easy to understand financial plans for our clients.

Brody also supports our team of Pension Transfer Specialists, working with advisers outside of bdhSterling to support their clients who are transferring pensions to Australia. He also works directly with clients throughout the pension transfer process. This work contributes to the smooth and efficient delivery of advice for people navigating complex cross border decisions.

Before joining bdhSterling, Brody ran an outsourced paraplanning business, supporting more than 25 advice practices. This experience has given him a broad perspective on advice strategy and enables him to consistently deliver thoughtful, well considered outcomes for clients.

Outside of work Brody enjoys travelling, having visited 37 countries (and counting!), eating (one of the best reasons to travel) and hiking. He’s currently preparing for his next adventure: climbing to Everest Base Camp!

What’s your best tip for anyone moving to Australia?

My practical tip is sunscreen. But, also get used to the idea of having cold prawns, cold drinks and a day at the beach for Christmas.

What’s the best thing about living in Australia?

The beaches, they’re pretty hard to beat.

What do you miss about living in the UK?

While only being in the UK for a few weeks, I was impressed by the delicious food (not only British food, but the wide variety of other cuisines available). With Scottish heritage, I also found that I actually enjoyed eating Haggis!

What gives you the most satisfaction at work?

Working as part of a team to figure out the best strategy for a client.

What’s the best thing about working for bdhSterling?

Having the satisfaction of assisting clients through such a big life change, a move halfway around the world.
