Louise Duncan

Financial Planner

At work

Louise is a highly experienced Financial Planner, with over 25 years’ experience. She originally joined bdhSterling as a Senior Paraplanner after spending 13 years as an Adviser. She excelled in this role, specialising in detailed cashflow planning and preparing tailored financial advice. Her dedication led her to become the first female member of the bdhSterling Investment Committee; and she is passionate to encourage more females to pursue careers in finance.

Recently promoted to Financial Planner, Louise provides high-quality, holistic advice to clients, with a particular focus on expats. She helps them achieve the best financial outcomes by guiding them through complex decisions, whether it’s planning for retirement, managing investments, or determining the most financially viable country to call home.

Outside of work, Louise enjoys live music and theatre (often influenced by her teenage daughter’s choice), cooking (often feeding the team) and supporting Liverpool Football Club.

Although I have a financial services background, transferring pension assets from the UK to Australia is specialist work, and needs doing 100% right first time. The BDH guys over-delivered with a lot of knowledge, experience and professionalism, which in turn gave me the peace of mind I needed throughout this process.I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them. BDH exceeded my own high expectations.

They were so responsive and answered all my (sometimes silly) questions. When the pandemic struck and lockdown ensued, they were business as usual and my payment was issued right in the middle of all of that. I have nothing but positives.

Communication is effective and financial transactions are undertaken efficiently. Definitely a five-star company.

Been with them since 1999 and am yet to find anyone more knowledgeable and helpful. Returns have always been ahead of market averages at a very reasonable price. Fair and open with great staff.
