Josh is a Chartered Financial Planner and holds advanced qualifications in financial planning. He currently works in our UK Paraplanning team, where he collaborates closely with our Financial Planners to compose recommendation letters, place currency trades, and perform complex calculations to help clients with their move to Australia. Josh also conducts annual review meetings and provides ongoing advice to our overseas clients whilst their funds remain in the UK. Soon, he plans to undertake Australian Financial Planning exams to become dual-qualified in both Australia and the UK.

Before joining bdhSterling, Josh worked as a Financial Planner at Mazars, where he honed his expertise in holistic financial advice. His experience spans cash flow analysis, retirement and investment planning, and protection strategies.

Originally from the south coast of the UK, Josh loves spending time on the beach. He also enjoys watching anything sports related, particularly football and cricket, as well as getting on the golf course as much as he can!

What’s your best tip for anyone moving to the UK?

Make sure you travel around the UK and Europe as much as you can, within a few hours you can be somewhere very different!

What’s the best thing about living in the UK?

It is very cliché but you cannot beat an old fashioned English pub, particularly in the winter with a Sunday roast and the football on TV.

What do you miss about living in the UK?

I will be moving to Australia in the next year or so, so I am already preparing for missing watching the football at a normal time of the day and Marks and Spencer (mainly Percy Pigs!).

What gives you the most satisfaction at work?

Seeing clients achieve their lifestyle goals and knowing that we have played a big part in helping them achieve this. Finances are usually one of the most stressful things for individuals, so to be able to help with this is a great feeling.
