At work
Josh is a Chartered Financial Planner (UK) with advanced qualifications based in our Melbourne office. He specialises in helping clients transfer their UK pensions to Australia, conducting annual review meetings, and providing ongoing advice to our overseas clients whilst their funds remain in the UK. He is currently undertaking his Australian Financial Planning exams to become dual-qualified in both Australia and the UK.
Having recently made the move from London to Melbourne, Josh brings first-hand insight into the emigration process, making him well-equipped to understand the needs of clients making a similar international transition.
Before joining bdhSterling, Josh worked as a Financial Planner at Mazars in the UK, where he honed his expertise in holistic financial advice. His experience spans cash flow analysis, retirement and investment planning and protection strategies.
Originally from the south coast of England, Josh loves spending time on the beach – something he plans to do more of now he’s living in Melbourne! He’s also an avid sports fan, particularly of football, cricket and golf, and he completed the 2025 London Marathon.

Important Information about our Financial Planning Team
In the UK the term “Financial Planner” refers to professionals who meet UK regulatory and qualification standards, including FCA requirements. Our UK team members hold appropriate certifications and adhere to local regulations. For easy identification, our UK advisers will have (UK) at the end of their title.
In Australia the titles “Financial Planner” and “Financial Adviser” are legally restricted under the Corporations Act. Only ASIC-registered professionals listed on the Financial Adviser Register may use these titles when providing personal advice. Our Australian team complies fully with these requirements, and their credentials can be verified via the ASIC register.
