Sarah-Jane Butfield
Having lived in Australia for a period of time, Sarah was going through the complicated process of moving her pensions back to the UK, while also going through a divorce. Here's her story.
Making Sarah's life easier with expertise
My name is Sarah-Jane Butfield and I’ve been a client for about four months now. I initially got in touch because I lived in Australia for five years, where I moved over my UK pensions, believing it to be a permanent move. Now I’m permanently back in the UK, I needed some advice on how to move them back, find out if I could move them back, and how to actually manage them until my retirement.
My circumstances are quite unique in that I was only in Australia for a certain period of time. I’m also in the process of a divorce, so I’ve got other complicating factors in the background, none of which seem to phase the people that I’ve been dealing with. It’s all been dealt with very professionally, and very thoroughly.
It’s been so important to me to realise that I do actually need someone on this on this journey with me to avoid losing money and to plan more effectively for my retirement. I cannot imagine doing this without an advisor and a company that can advise and operate from both the UK and Australia. I had no idea how complex it would be, and the fact that I can deal with just the one person is making the process a lot easier. And service has been absolutely excellent. It’s been so useful to have someone to literally handhold me through the process.
The three words that I would use to describe bdhSterling would be professional, courteous and extremely patient. I would have no hesitation in recommending bdhSterling to other people in my situation, and especially those in Australia with links to the UK.
