Yasser joined us in November 2020 as SMSF Client Manager. He manages our SMSF portfolio administration, assisting with the division’s growing need for real time reporting and ensuring we achieve the best tax outcomes for our clients. A Chartered Accountant with extensive experience, he is highly qualified in leading SMSF divisions for large scale firms and practices.
Yasser’s career began with an internship with PwC. After completing a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Accounting at Curtin University, he enrolled with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2012, of which he attained Fellowship in 2019. He then went on to complete both a specialist course in superannuation and a Diploma in Financial Planning. In the near future Yasser looks to undertake the SMSF Specialist Adviser course to further his niche expertise.

What’s your best tip for anyone moving to Australia?
Having migrated to Australia myself 12 years ago, it’s well worth it to do the research to choose the correct visa as their requirements change regularly.

6 to 9 months before making the move overseas as there are many factors to take into consideration.

Research the Australian tax system, as well as the cost of living, renting etc.
