Darryl helps advisers create, prepare implement and review our client’s financial plan and advice. He also provides technical support on areas such as tax, legislation and products the client has or may need to help them meet their financial goals. 

Prior to joining bdhSterling, Darryl worked in administration and adviser roles in Australia for Mercer, MLC, National Australia Bank, Bendigo Bank & IOOF. Moving to the UK in 2015, he has worked in paraplanning roles for various UK based financial businesses.

What’s your best tip for anyone moving to Australia?

Research, research and more research. House prices vary from city to city and location so make sure you are within your budget.  Make sure you pick the right Aussie Rules Football team. 

What’s the best thing about living in the UK?

It’s much closer for me to travel to see my extended family in Portugal and India.

What do you miss about living in Australia?

The large open spaces; living in a large detached house; the unique fauna and flora; the awesome beaches and nature reserves.

What gives you the most satisfaction at work?

Being able to relate to and serve our domestic & international client base whilst making effective use of both my work experiences in Australia and the UK.
